Azure Cloud Security Engineer | Defender for Cloud | Remote We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Security Engineer for a consulting assignment focused on strengthening and hardening a large Microsoft Azure environment. The role will focus heavily on Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Secure Score, Azure Policy, infrastructure hardening, and security remediation. Work model: RemoteStart: ImmediateDuration: 6 months + extensions Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse and remediate Microsoft Defender for Cloud recommendations.Drive improvements to Microsoft Secure Score.Implement and maintain Azure Policy and security controls.Perform security hardening and patching across Azure environments.Strengthen security across Compute, Networking, Storage, and Entra ID.Apply best practices around network security, encryption, and least privilege.Document implemented improvements and provide security reporting. Key RequirementsSenior-level hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.Strong knowledge of Azure Compute, Networking, Storage, and Entra ID.Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud.Experience improving Secure Score and remediating security recommendations.Strong knowledge of Azure Policy.Hands-on Azure Portal, Azure CLI and/or PowerShell experience.Strong understanding of network security, encryption, IAM, and least privilege.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
