Clinical Data Manager Location: EuropeContract Type: One Year ContractWorking Pattern: Full Time The OpportunityWe are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Data Manager to take ownership of end-to-end data management activities across clinical studies. This is an excellent opportunity for a data management professional with strong experience in clinical databases, EDC systems, data cleaning and study documentation to take a leading role within a fast-paced clinical research environment.You will work closely with project teams, sponsors and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality, accurate and timely clinical data throughout the lifecycle of a study. Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently lead end-to-end clinical data management activities, including database design, database setup, CRF and non-CRF collection tools, data cleaning and documentation.Develop and maintain Data Management Plans (DMPs), Data Validation Plans, completion guidelines, data management reports and other study documentation.Coordinate study team reviews of CRFs, identifying potential data collection, database structure and data entry issues.Ensure captured data complies with the clinical protocol and data management plan.Lead the development of data validation plans and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) of CRFs and associated edit checks.Manage data cleaning activities, including the generation, tracking and resolution of queries and discrepancies.Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of third-party data with Clinical Data Management System (CDMS) data.Track CRFs as they progress through the Data Management function.Work closely with the Project Manager throughout the study lifecycle to provide updates and resolve issues.Liaise directly with sponsors when required, providing data management updates and discussing study-related issues.Ensure the Trial Master File (TMF) remains accurate, complete and up to date throughout the trial.Mentor and train Data Managers, supporting the development of team capabilities.Undertake additional responsibilities as required. About YouThe ideal candidate will have:A Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent, preferably in a technical, clinical or health-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.3–5 years of practical experience leading database management activities within clinical research.Hands-on experience with commercial Clinical Data Management Systems (CDMS) and/or EDC platforms, such as Oracle RDC/Inform, Medidata Rave, DataLabs or similar.Proven experience across the core responsibilities of clinical data management.Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel.A customer-focused approach, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality and timely work while taking ownership of tasks.Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.The ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and adapt effectively to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
