Cohesity Backup Architect – Cohesity, Enterprise Backup, Recovery – Hybrid, Luxembourg

A global organisation are seeking an experienced Cohesity Backup Architect to support a Private Cloud solution implementation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, validation, and operational readiness of an enterprise backup and recovery solution using Cohesity. This position will focus on ensuring robust data protection, compliance, and operational recoverability across air-gapped, virtualised, and on-premises workloads, working closely with platform, infrastructure, application, security, monitoring, and operations teams. This will be an initial 12 months+ contract with further extensions available, This position will be worked on a hybrid basis with part time on-site presence required in Luxembourg. Security Clearance is required. Key Responsibilities:Own HLD, Detailed Design, implementation, and validation of the Cohesity backup solution.Define scope, workloads, RPO/RTO, retention, compliance, policies, storage, encryption, and recovery.Design topology, storage tiers, deduplication, and zones across production, DMZ, virtualised, on-premises, and air-gapped environments.Configure VM, NAS, file system, database, image-level, SQL, and Oracle backups.Deploy/manage Cohesity components, policies, and agents across enterprise workloads.Implement encryption, RBAC, immutability, and air-gapped protection.Define storage sizing, retention, pooling, bandwidth throttling, and WAN optimisation.Execute backup/restore testing and validate recovery SLAs.Configure monitoring, alerting, and reporting; support go-live, tuning, handover, and knowledge transfer.Produce designs, test plans, runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation. Key Skills Required:Strong hands-on Cohesity backup and recovery experience.Proven enterprise backup architecture design and implementation experience.Strong knowledge of policies, retention, RPO/RTO, storage, deduplication, and recovery.Experience across air-gapped, virtualised, and on-premises environments.Experience with VM, NAS, file system, database, SQL, Oracle, and image-level backups.Knowledge of encryption, RBAC, immutability, and air-gapped protection.Experience with storage sizing, retention, network optimisation, and backup agents.Backup/restore testing and recovery SLA validation experience.Monitoring, reporting, alerting, troubleshooting, and documentation experience.Strong stakeholder management across infrastructure, application, security, and operations teams.Enterprise/regulated environment experience.Security Clearance required.
