Concept Leader – ECU Software & Electronics

We are looking for an experienced Concept Leader within ECU Software and Electronics for a technically advanced engineering assignment in the automotive industry.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of ECU software, electronics and system architecture, with a strong focus on early-phase development. You will take technical ownership of concepts and help translate future product needs into feasible and robust technical solutions.

The position requires a broad understanding of both High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electronics, combined with experience in ECU software development and complex embedded systems.

The role

You will be responsible for driving technical concept work from initial requirements and feasibility assessment through analysis and verification. Working closely with specialists across software, electronics and systems engineering, you will ensure that proposed solutions meet technical, functional and project requirements.

A key part of the assignment is to provide technical direction and bring together different engineering disciplines when defining new solutions.

Lead concept development within ECU software and HV/LV electronicsEvaluate technical alternatives and drive feasibility studies in early development phasesDefine and refine technical requirements together with relevant engineering teamsSupport decisions related to system architecture, interfaces and technical implementationCoordinate technical activities across software, electronics and system engineeringWork closely with suppliers and internal development teams throughout the development processEnsure concepts consider performance, quality, cost, safety and industrialisation requirementsContribute to technology roadmaps, future technical solutions and engineering strategiesSupport analysis, verification and validation activitiesAct as a technical point of contact within your area of expertise

Your background

We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation who is comfortable taking ownership and guiding others in complex engineering discussions.

We Believe You Have

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems or a related fieldApproximately 7–10 years of relevant engineering experienceStrong experience within ECU software developmentGood technical knowledge of both High Voltage and Low Voltage electronicsExperience from embedded electronic systems in automotive or another complex industrial environmentExperience with concept development and early-phase product developmentUnderstanding of system architecture, requirements engineering, analysis and verificationExperience working across multiple engineering disciplines and coordinating technical stakeholdersAbility to take technical ownership and drive decisions independentlyStrong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics clearlyProfessional proficiency in EnglishExperience from the automotive, electrification, powertrain or e-mobility domain is highly relevant. Swedish language skills are considered an advantage.
