Title: Control Software Engineer – Embedded Systems & Power ElectronicsLocation: Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, Finland (Hybrid – 2 days/week on-site)Contract Duration: 19 Oct 2026 – 31 Oct 2027 (Long-term assignment, multi-year potential)Workload: Full-Time (100% / 37.5 hrs/week)Languages: Fluent English (Mandatory) Position Summary: We are seeking an Embedded Control Software Engineer to develop advanced control solutions for electrical energy systems, power converters, and industrial drives. Operating at the intersection of embedded software, power engineering, and control systems, you will implement practical control loop algorithms, measurements, and feedback regulation methods for power electronic converters. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain embedded software in C/C++ and Python for power converters, inverters, and energy storage systems.Implement, test, and tune digital control loops (current, voltage, and power control) for power conversion equipment.Work closely at the interface of embedded software and power electronics hardware, utilizing feedback and feedforward control principles.Utilize Git for version control and collaborate within cross-functional agile engineering teams.Participate in software testing, continuous integration (CI/CD), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) validation. Qualifications & Requirements:1. Embedded Software Engineering (Mandatory): Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.Solid working knowledge of Git version control.Fundamental understanding of software testing methodologies. 2. Control Engineering & Power Electronics (Mandatory): Hands-on understanding of converter control principles, measurements, regulation methods, and control loop implementation.Domain knowledge in at least one area: Power Conversion, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar/Wind Power, or Smart Grids/Microgrids.Understanding of power converter topologies (Inverters, Rectifiers, DC/DC converters, switching power supplies).Practical experience designing control loops, stability analysis, and dynamic performance tuning. Desirable Experience: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Control Engineering, or Energy Systems.Experience with HIL testing, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, static code analysis, or unit testing frameworks.
