Role: Data EngineerLocation: Gothenburg, Sweden (Hybrid)Type: Contract Position Please find below JD: Role: Data Engineer We are searching a Data Engineer to build and maintain data products and pipeline. This role focuses on ensuring data quality, reliability, privacy compliance, and high system uptime to support data-driven insights and decision-making. 8 + years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably working with large-scale or sensor-based data. Strong skills in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, Scala, or Java. Experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. Understanding data privacy principles and experience delivering compliant data solutions. Strong focus on data quality, monitoring, and operational reliability. Mandatory Skills –Ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability across all data solutions. Monitor pipeline performance and quickly resolve issues to minimize downtime. Implement testing, validation, and monitoring processes to improve data quality. Work with privacy, legal, and security teams to ensure data is handled according to regulations. Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams to deliver business-ready datasets. Improve data pipelines through automation, scalability, and performance enhancements. Maintain clear documentation of data flows, architectures, and privacy processes. Nice to have –Familiarity with data privacy and governance standards such as GDPR. Experience with tools like Airflow, Databricks, or Grafana. Knowledge of streaming technologies such as Kafka.
