Data Governance & Data Quality Specialist (Interim) Remobi | Remote within Europe | B2B/Freelance/Contract | Oct-Dec 2026 (initial) We are Remobi - we help businesses scale and innovate through high-performing, remote nearshore tech teams. We're hiring an interim Data Governance & Data Quality Specialist to drive execution on a Real Estate data governance programme for a global energy technology company, covering a capacity gap while the permanent post holder is on leave. The model's already built: governance structure agreed, stewards named, data quality reports live. What's needed now is someone who can run it day to day, briefing stewards, tracking findings, and keeping the supporting community operational, with no line authority over the people they're working with. What You'll DoBrief and support data stewards across critical Real Estate datasets, ensuring assignments are documented and actively workedOwn the tracking of data quality findings from eleven existing reports: assign owners, maintain remediation status, run a fixed review rhythmRun the Data & Digital Community operationally, including agenda setting, preparation, follow-ups and documentationGo into the data directly: inspect records, validate findings, and describe defects preciselyDrive follow-through on data quality topics across departments outside your direct authorityDeliver a clean, well-documented handover at the end of the engagement What We're Looking For Must-have:Hands-on experience delivering data governance or data quality rollouts in a large organisationDemonstrated ability to drive follow-through across departments without formal line authorityDirect, practical experience inspecting datasets, validating records and working with data quality reportsFluent English and reliable availability during CET working hoursAvailable for a handover in the second half of September 2026, and for a minimum of four days per week from 1 October Nice-to-have:Experience with Collibra or a comparable enterprise data catalogueCorporate Real Estate or Facility Management domain knowledgeBased in PortugalGerman language skills Why This RoleThree months, a clear mandate, and a real gap to fill.
