Executive Search Researcher – Banking (Freelance)

An experienced Freelance Executive Search Researcher is required to collaborate on Banking & Financial Services executive search assignments. The collaboration is particularly suited to a professional with previous exposure to the Banking & Financial Services sector, strong research and analytical capabilities, and the ability to work independently. The successful professional should be comfortable translating a search brief into a structured search strategy, identifying relevant professionals across specific functions and markets, and delivering high-quality candidate research. ResponsibilitiesConduct candidate research and identification based on specific search briefs, target companies, functions, seniority levels and agreed search criteria.Prepare and present high-quality candidate longlists, ensuring that identified profiles are relevant and aligned with the search criteria defined for each assignment.Analyse professional profiles to assess their potential relevance against defined search criteria.Identify alternative job titles, adjacent functions, target companies and relevant market segments where appropriate.Maintain clear and well-structured search trackers and candidate information.Provide regular and transparent progress updates and flag challenges, gaps or potential alternative search approaches when relevant.Support additional search-related deliverables when required. RequirementsPrevious experience conducting searches within Banking & Financial Services, ideally across Banking, Financial Markets, Corporate & Investment Banking, Asset Management or related Financial Services areas.Previous experience in Executive Search, recruitment or talent research.Strong sourcing and research capabilities, with experience using LinkedIn Recruiter or equivalent professional sourcing tools.Ability to understand specialised banking roles and translate a search brief into relevant target companies, functions, job titles and candidate profiles.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.High degree of autonomy, reliability and commitment to agreed deliverables and deadlines.Proactive and transparent communication style.Ability to work independently and organise work effectively.Fluency in English.
