Every wave of AI capability rests on the infrastructure beneath it. Airon is building that foundational layer — the compute and capacity that the world's most demanding AI workloads run on.

We are growing fast, working with sophisticated international and US enterprise customers and building the infrastructure required to support increasingly large and demanding AI workloads. This creates challenges — technical, commercial and organizational — that are complex, consequential and evolving in real time.

Who we are

We build, own and operate our own AI factory in Lidköping, Sweden, running on 100% renewable power, and sell dedicated bare-metal NVIDIA GPU compute to enterprise customers. Everything from the building to the platform is ours, which is why the engineering here is unusually broad.

The role

As Founding Designer, you will own how Airon looks, feels and works — the product our customers log into and the brand everything else is built on.

You will work hands-on with our platform and customer-facing surfaces as well as our brand and visual system, taking ownership from first sketch through shipped interface and continuous improvement. You will not simply execute against predefined specifications; you will help decide what we build and how it should feel.

You will work closely with our CTO and our developers, with very short feedback loops.

Own your area end-to-end — from problem definition and design through implementation and continuous improvement.Contribute to decisions that shape how Airon works and how we grow.Use AI and modern tools to improve work efficiency.Design our product surface end to end — the console and tooling customers use to run their compute with us.Own our brand and visual system, so product, website and everything we put out look like one company.Work directly with our Head of Expansion and developers, from first sketch to shipped interface.Turn a technically complex product into something that feels obvious to use.Set the design standard, the system and the tooling early, while there is still almost nothing in the way.

We believe you

Have a portfolio that shows both product design and brand craft, and can point at what actually shipped.Are strong on interaction and interface craft and fluent in a modern design and prototyping toolchain.Can work from an unfinished brief, alongside engineers, without waiting for a specification.Are comfortable designing for a technical product and a technical audience.Use AI tooling as a natural part of how you work.Are comfortable taking work from problem definition to a reliable, working result.Can make thoughtful trade-offs between speed, quality and complexity.Are comfortable working hands-on in an international, fast-moving environment.Have a genuine interest in using AI and modern tools to improve how work gets done.

Bonus points for

Experience designing developer tools, dashboards or infrastructure products.Front-end skills — you can build your own prototypes in code.Having built a design system from scratch and kept it alive.Experience as an early designer in a fast-growing company.Experience working in an early-stage, high-growth or rapidly changing company.Experience from technically demanding or industrial environments.

Curious and ambitious, with a genuine interest in understanding how things work.Low-ego and action-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.Analytical and pragmatic, with the ability to turn complex problems into working solutions.Comfortable navigating ambiguity.Collaborative and direct, with the ability to explain your decisions clearly.Motivated by solving difficult problems and building something that matters.
