We build, own and operate our own AI factories in Lidköping, Sweden, running on 100% renewable power, and sell dedicated bare-metal NVIDIA GPU compute to enterprise customers. Everything from the building to the platform is ours, which is why the engineering here is unusually broad.

The role

As Network Engineer you will own the network underneath our AI factory — the fabric that lets thousands of GPUs behave like one machine, and the connectivity that gets customers to it.

You will work hands-on with high-bandwidth, low-latency data center fabrics, edge and customer connectivity and network automation, taking ownership from design through implementation, operation and continuous improvement. You will not simply execute against predefined specifications; you will help identify the right problems to solve and influence how we build as Airon scales.

You will work closely with our platform, operations and expansion teams and with our network vendors.

Own solutions end-to-end — from architecture and implementation to deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.Contribute to technical decisions and help shape our architecture, engineering principles and ways of working.Improve the reliability, performance and scalability of our technology as the business grows.Use AI and modern engineering tools to increase development speed, quality and operational efficiency.Own our data center network end to end: GPU fabric, storage and management networks, edge and customer connectivity.Design and operate high-bandwidth, low-latency fabrics for distributed AI training and inference workloads.Be the final escalation point for network issues and drive them to root cause with packet-level evidence.Automate configuration, validation and change management as we add halls, sites and customers.Design and manage fiber in our data centers.Build the network design for new capacity together with the expansion team.Work closely with upstream providers and network peers. Protect the network with firewalls and external DDoS protection.Participate in on-call rotations as needed (physically and/or digitally).

We believe you

Have designed and operated data center networks in production, at scale.Are strong on routing and switching fundamentals — BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, L2/L3 design — and on how they behave under real load.Have worked with load balancing, firewalls and site-to-site VPNs.Have worked with high-performance interconnects: InfiniBand, RoCE or comparable lossless Ethernet designs.Have mitigated network attacks such as DDoS under real pressure.Automate network configuration rather than managing devices by hand.Are comfortable taking work from problem definition to a reliable, working solution.Can make thoughtful trade-offs between speed, scalability, reliability, security and technical complexity.Are comfortable working hands-on in an international, fast-moving environment.Have a genuine interest in using AI and modern engineering tools to improve how software and infrastructure are built.

Bonus points for

NVIDIA/Mellanox, Arista, Juniper or Cisco data center platforms.Multi-site interconnect, peering and transit.Tenant isolation and network security for enterprise customers.Senior certifications in networking.Experience from AI infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, data centers, distributed systems, high-performance computing or another relevant technical environment.Experience working in an early-stage, high-growth or rapidly changing company.Experience building systems that support enterprise customers or business-critical workloads.
