We are looking to reinforce our team with an experienced Sales Support Engineer specialized in Gas Suppression product line. The objectives of the role are: Provide technical support for gas and detection products to Viking EMEA customers and staff to help local sales teams to reach local annual sales and margin targetsContinuously work on improvement and optimizing Viking products, in close corporation with Product Managers The main responsibilities of this position are: Provide technical support (including on-site support) to staff, customers and gas and detection productsPrepare system bills of material from tender documents and specifications to assist local offices in quotingWork with local Sales Representatives to identify new and upcoming project opportunitiesProvide key advantages of our products compared to competitor productsProvide technical submissions and technical documentation to customersWork with sales team to promote Viking to new potential customersProvide the best technical solutions for customers’ projectsOrganize and provide training and seminars both in-house and at customer locationsTrain and support other LTS and replace in case of needNetwork with specifiers to increase awareness and specification of Viking productsPromote and co-ordinate Viking’s participation in local trade associations including assisting with their activities The Sales Support Engineer will report to EMEA Gas, Detection & Watermist Team Lead. The position requires travelling across Europe up to 30% of time. You can be located in one of the countries where Viking EMEA has offices (Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, Sweden) and work from home or from the office. Qualifications and experience: You have solid expertise and hands-on experience with gas suppression systemsYou have a background in technical sales or as a project leader within the fire protection or related businessYou have a technical/engineering background, understanding of contracting business; you are able to work effectively with specifiers and contractorsYou have a good knowledge of fire protections rules, especially for gas systems with a focus on VdS/UL/FMYou have experience designing systems (desirable)You are well presented, enthusiastic with the drive to succeed in a competitive but developing marketYou have proven technical skills and experiencesYou are a good communicator in English and local language (additional European languages are a plus) Personal characteristics: You have a helicopter perspective, be able to prioritize and get things doneYou can communicate, interact and adapt to all levels in the organization through various channels and methodsYou are able to build strong relationships and networks through trust and integrityYou are a self-starter, well organized, able to prioritize and you get things doneYou are a listener and able to influence, motivate and convince when neededYou are result oriented and have a strong sense of commitment to deliver Our offer: Stable company: for over three decades, our company has stood the test of time, weathering economic shifts, technological revolutions, and industry changes.
