About The Project
A global automotive OEM is looking to scale the use of Artificial Intelligence across its finance organization, moving from isolated pilots towards repeatable, enterprise-wide applications.
The objective of this project is to map current and emerging AI use cases across the corporate finance function - including financial planning and analysis, controlling, accounting, treasury, and reporting - and to benchmark how leading OEMs, suppliers, and adjacent industries are deploying them today.
You will assess the value potential, data requirements, and implementation readiness of prioritized use cases, and support the development of a practical roadmap for scaling AI within the client’s finance organization.
The insights generated will help the client prioritize investment, strengthen the business case, and define the capabilities and operating model required to scale AI in finance.
This project offers hands-on exposure to finance transformation, applied AI, and strategic analysis within a consulting context.
Key Responsibilities
Research and map AI use cases across core finance processes (FP&A, controlling, accounting, treasury, reporting) Benchmark AI adoption among automotive OEMs, tier-1 suppliers, and comparable industries Build structured value, effort, and readiness assessments to prioritize use cases Support expert interviews and stakeholder discussions, and synthesize findings into clear insights Prepare client-ready deliverables in PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred Profile
MSc / MBA students in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering and Management, or a related field Strong analytical, research, and structured problem-solving skills Working understanding of AI / machine learning concepts and their business applications; hands-on exposure is an advantage Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Interest in finance transformation, applied AI, and the automotive / mobility sector
