Interim Chief Financial Officer

We are partnering with a private equity-backed professional services business seeking an experienced Interim CFO for an initial 4–6 month assignment. Based in Copenhagen, the Interim CFO will work closely with the CEO, leadership team and private equity investors to strengthen the finance function and build the financial infrastructure required to support the next phase of growth and value creation. The mandate will have a strong finance transformation and performance improvement focus, with key responsibilities including: Leading a finance systems and reporting transformation, reviewing the existing technology landscape and driving improvements to systems, data quality and automationDeveloping and embedding a robust suite of financial and operational KPIs, providing greater visibility over business performance, profitability and key value driversReviewing and improving finance and accounting processes, including month-end, forecasting, budgeting, controls and management reportingEnhancing data cube, BI and reporting capabilities to provide timely, accurate and decision-useful information to management and investorsImproving the quality and cadence of Board and PE investor reporting, with clear insight into performance against planStrengthening FP&A and forecasting, including cash flow, scenario modelling and forward-looking performance analysisPartnering with operational leadership to improve commercial insight, project/client profitability and resource utilisationIdentifying opportunities to improve the scalability and efficiency of the finance function as the business grows We are looking for an experienced Interim CFO / Finance Director with a strong track record in private equity-backed environments, ideally with previous exposure to professional services, consulting or another people-led business model. Candidates should have demonstrable experience delivering finance transformation, systems improvement, KPI development and enhanced management reporting in a fast-paced, investor-led environment.
