IT Security Technician – Network & Firewall Location: Stockholm (SE) Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced IT Security Technician / Network Security Technician to support the Swedish Police Authority in the operation, management and further development of its network and firewall environments.The consultant will be responsible for day-to-day operational support of security and network infrastructure, including monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, analysis, configuration and change activities. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Check Point, Splunk and network security technologies. Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain complex network and firewall environments.Configure, manage and troubleshoot Check Point firewalls.Monitor and analyse security and network events using Splunk.Perform incident management, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.Support installation, configuration and change activities across network and security infrastructure.Work with AlgoSec for firewall policy management and security controls.Use Ansible for automation and configuration tasks.Monitor system performance and ensure a stable, secure and efficient environment.Provide technical advice and contribute to secure technical solutions.Maintain technical documentation, procedures and operational guidelines.Collaborate with other technical teams to implement secure and reliable solutions.Support environments where solutions may deviate from standard configurations and require specialist technical expertise. Mandatory RequirementsMinimum 3 years of documented experience as a Network Technician.Hands-on experience configuring and operating Check Point network/firewall products.Strong experience in network and security troubleshooting and incident management.Valid Check Point certification.Valid Splunk certification.Good Swedish communication skills, both written and spoken.
