To learn more about how we can supercharge progress for you, visit www.hcltech.com Role - Linux Cloud Devops Engineer Role Overview We are seeking a hands-on Linux Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, build, automate, and operate secure, reliable Linux services in Azure. The engineer will work in an Agile DevOps/SRE team and support the complete service lifecycle, including infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, CI/CD, incident and problem resolution, changes, capacity, documentation, and continuous improvement. This role requires strong development-level capability across Ansible, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Terraform, and Git/GitHub-based CI/CD. Mandatory Profile-Screening CriteriaCandidates must demonstrate hands-on experience in all four areas below. If anyone skill is missing, the profile should not proceed to technical screening.Ansible development: Proven experience developing reusable playbooks, roles, collections, inventories, templates, and automation workflows. Hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) is strongly preferred.Red Hat Enterprise Linux: Strong RHEL administration, troubleshooting, patching, security, system services, storage, networking, and performance-management experience. Experience managing RHEL workloads in Azure is strongly preferred.Terraform development: Proven experience developing, testing, and maintaining reusable Terraform code and modules for infrastructure provisioning, state management, and lifecycle control.Git/GitHub and CI/CD: Hands-on experience with Git workflows, pull requests, branching, code reviews, version control, and CI/CD pipeline development using GitHub Actions or an equivalent platform. Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end engineering and operation of customer Linux cloud environments.Develop and maintain Ansible automation for configuration, deployment, patching, compliance, and operational tasks.Provision and manage Azure infrastructure through reusable, secure, and controlled Terraform code.Administer and troubleshoot RHEL systems, including compute, storage, networking, access, security, and performance.Build and maintain Git/GitHub-based CI/CD workflows, including validation, testing, approvals, release controls, and rollback.Automate repetitive work and implement self-healing solutions to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.Collaborate with engineering, operations, security, suppliers, and other third parties to deliver changes and resolve issues.Support ITSM, Agile, DevOps, and SRE practices, including standby or on-call duties where required. Experience and Essential QualificationsSenior profile: at least 7+ years of relevant professional experience; Demonstrable hands-on capability in all four mandatory screening areas: Ansible development, RHEL, Terraform development, and Git/GitHub CI/CD.Practical experience operating Linux services in Azure; Azure Associate certification or equivalent knowledge is preferred.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause-analysis skills.Security-minded approach to infrastructure, automation, access, secrets, code, and operational changes.Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a global, collaborative team.Adaptability, ownership, clear communication, and willingness to learn in a fast-changing environment.

Preferred QualificationsHands-on administration or development experience with Ansible Automation Platform.Red Hat or Ansible certification.Experience with Python or Bash scripting.Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Red Hat IdM/IPA, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or other container platforms.Understanding of Agile, Scrum, ITIL, DevOps, or SRE practices.
