Product Stewardship Manager (SDS focus) - Remote

Experience in SDS Authoring and Management exposure within a chemical manufacturing (or consulting) environment? We are currently supporting an international organisation within the chemical sector looking to urgently strengthen its Regulatory Operations team with an experienced SDS / Product Stewardship leadership profile. This is not a director level position but an operational management one with a part of hands-on. The position will be ideal for a profile with strong technical expertise in Safety Data Sheets, chemical classification and Hazard Communication, who can quickly take leadership and ownership of operational activities while also supporting ongoing process and systems improvement projects. The RoleWorking within an international Regulatory Operations function, you will be responsible for:Managing operational product stewardship staff on day to day operations - (1-2 reports)Authoring, reviewing and maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for formulated chemical productsManaging CLP / GHS classification and labelling activitiesEnsuring ongoing compliance with REACH and applicable global chemical regulationsSupporting multi-country and multilingual SDS requirementsProviding technical guidance on Hazard Communication and product safety topicsSupporting transport classification requirements including ADR / IMDG / IATACoordinating SDS-related activities with internal teams and external partnersSupporting and guiding colleagues on complex SDS and classification topicsContributing to ongoing improvements in SDS processes, workflows and regulatory data managementSupporting the implementation and optimisation of SDS authoring systems and digital Regulatory Operations processes Your ProfileWe are particularly interested in candidates with:Strong hands-on experience in SDS authoring and lifecycle managementIn-depth knowledge of CLP, GHS and REACHLeadership experience (small teams preferable)Experience with formulated chemical productsStrong chemical classification and labelling expertiseExperience working across different countries and regulatory frameworksA pragmatic, operational mindset and ability to work autonomouslySome experience coordinating projects, supporting colleagues or providing technical leadershipFluent English; additional European languages are advantageous Experience within biocides, specialty chemicals or other highly regulated chemical environments would be particularly relevant. Knowledge of SDS authoring platforms such as LISAM, SAP EHS, Sphera, ChemGes or similar systems would also be highly advantageous. Location & ContractThe role can be based remotely within Europe (or UK), with travel twice a month to EU offices in France for team and project meetings. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SDS / Product Stewardship professional to join a business undergoing significant development within its Regulatory Operations function, combining immediate leadership responsibility with exposure to broader regulatory transformation projects.
