Regional Sales Manager – Western EuropeRemote - Italy, Benelux, Nordics, Greece, Cyprus You’ll be responsible for establishing and managing a Distributor Sales Model for an ophthalmic surgery business across Western Europe, developing distributor networks, entering new markets and improving performance in countries where the company is already established. You’ll also have a product proposition that gives distributors and customers a genuine reason to listen. The portfolio combines high product quality with competitive pricing, with products also manufactured in Europe which gives you an attractive alternative to some of the competitors in the market. You’ll work across multiple markets, identifying the right distribution partners, negotiating commercial plans and helping those partners actually deliver growth. So this is not a sales position where you grow your own territory but rather fully distributor focused. Overall this will give you the chance to establish and grow a new area in a company that has a proven commercial strategy and consistent growth globally. Location & SalaryThis will be a remote based position ideally in either Italy, Benelux, Nordics, Greece, Cyprus. The salary range can vary becaue of this but we are looking at around 75,000 - 100,000 euros in base salary + bonus What you’ll doBuilding and developing distributor networks across Western Europe will give you ownership of how the company expands across the region.You’ll identify opportunities to enter new countries, strengthen existing operations and work closely with partners on sales targets, promotional budgets and country-level action plans. Rather than appointing a distributor and hoping for the best, you’ll stay close to their performance. You’ll manage pipelines, analyse market data and use Salesforce to understand where the opportunities and problems actually are.You’ll also represent the business at conferences and trade fairs, while building relationships with distributors, customers and other key stakeholders throughout Western Europe. What you’ll needIdeally 10+ years of international sales experience, give or take. The more important part would be having managed distributors and partners.A background in ophthalmic consumables or medical implantable consumablesExposure to several Western European marketsStrong commercial, negotiation and business development skillsFluent English; another Western European language would be usefulWillingness to travel extensively – potentially up to 15 working days per month
