Senior Android Developer

Start Date: ImmediateEnd Date: 26th Feb 2027 The Role : We are looking for Senior Android Developers to join Truecaller and help develop and improve the company's Android application. The role covers the full product development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through testing, release and continuous improvement. What You'll Do • Develop Android applications following high engineering and code-quality standards. • Implement complex features and improve the performance of the existing codebase. • Write tests and increase test coverage. • Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions. • Provide engineering expertise to Product and Business teams and contribute to technical decisions. • Mentor junior developers and help maintain high engineering standards within the team. • Take ownership of technical solutions and deliverables. • Collaborate with the Release Team on continuous delivery of high-quality code. • Investigate, debug and resolve production issues and bugs. What You Bring The ideal candidate is a hands-on Senior Android Engineer who goes beyond implementation. They take ownership of technical solutions, actively contribute to design and architecture discussions, care about engineering quality and are comfortable supporting and mentoring other developers. Independence, strong engineering practices and a proactive mindset are important for this role. Must-Have Experience • 5+ years of professional experience in Android development. • Strong knowledge of the Android SDK. • Strong knowledge of Kotlin. • Good knowledge of Java. • Experience working with RESTful APIs and gRPC. • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills. • Experience working in Agile environments. • Fluent English, both written and spoken. • Ability to work independently, take ownership and make sound technical decisions. Nice to Have • Experience with Firebase. • Firebase Remote Config. • Firebase Crashlytics. • Experience with A/B testing. • Experience working on large-scale production mobile applications. • Experience with mobile application performance optimization.
