Senior Data Platform Architect / Technical Lead

Job role: Senior Data Platform Architect / Technical LeadLocation: Remote work with Occasional meetings in Munich, Germany Role Overview:We are looking for a Senior Data Platform Architect / Technical Lead to support the migration of an existing Celonis Data Foundation to a modern data platform based on SAP ERP, SAP Datasphere, Databricks, and Power BI. The consultant will be responsible for both target architecture and hands-on implementation, while providing technical leadership and supporting internal teams in developing data products. Key Responsibilities:Define target data architecture and migration strategy.Assess existing Celonis data models and integration landscape.Design ERP → SAP Datasphere → Databricks data flows and integration framework.Develop data replication, ETL/ELT and delta-loading concepts.Lead procurement data product development and data harmonization.Establish data governance, security, quality and monitoring frameworks.Support semantic models, business entities and data product design.Evaluate advanced capabilities including Databricks Apps, AI/LLM and write-back solutions.Lead testing, knowledge transfer and handover to internal teams. Must-Have Skills:Strong experience as a Data Architect / Data Platform Architect.Excellent Databricks expertise.Strong Enterprise Data Integration and ETL/ELT experience.Experience with SAP data landscapes / SAP ERP.Data Product Architecture and Data Governance.Strong understanding of data security concepts.Proven technical leadership and stakeholder management skills.
