Senior Logistics Engineer – Projects & Investigations
We are looking for an experienced Senior Logistics Engineer – Projects & Investigations to support the development and implementation of efficient material flows and logistics solutions within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
The role focuses on optimizing logistics processes, material handling, plant layouts, automation, and continuous improvement using Lean principles.
Key Responsibilities
Design and improve internal and external logistics and material-flow processes using Lean manufacturing principles Develop strategies to reduce waste, optimize processes, solve operational challenges, and lower logistics costs Develop and implement future material-handling and logistics-flow solutions Conduct investigations, feasibility studies, and impact assessments supporting plant development and master planning Evaluate impacts related to cost, investment, staffing, layout, and material flow Provide logistics input and documentation for project gates and project decision-making Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations Support logistics automation and digitalization initiatives Collaborate with production, logistics, engineering, project management, suppliers, and other stakeholders Coordinate with international teams to develop common and scalable logistics solutions
Required Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience within logistics, manufacturing, or industrial operations Strong experience in material supply, material handling, and logistics flows Proven project management experience, including project structures and budgeting Good understanding of Lean manufacturing, problem solving, and continuous improvement Experience or strong interest in logistics automation Ability to lead improvement initiatives and drive organizational change Experience working with relevant IS/IT tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a holistic approach Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills Strong communication, leadership, and influencing capabilities Proficiency in Swedish and English
Meritorious
University or college degree in Logistics Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field Experience with Industry 4.0, digitalization, automation, or emerging manufacturing technologies Previous experience from automotive or large-scale manufacturing environments
