The Role: We are looking for a Senior SAP HANA Developer on behalf of one of our high-growth enterprise clients to architect, build, and optimize real-time data solutions within an advanced SAP HANA ecosystem. In this role, you will take operational ownership of high-performance database modeling, backend SQLScript engineering, and analytical view design to power enterprise-wide decision-making and cross-platform integrations. What we’re looking for: 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP HANA (2.0 SPS0x and/or SAP HANA Cloud) native application development, database modeling, and performance tuning.Mastery in designing, building, and maintaining complex Graphical and Scripted Calculation Views, Core Data Services (CDS views), Analytic Privileges, and Decision Tables.Deep proficiency in SQLScript, developing complex stored procedures, table functions, and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) to maximize in-memory database capabilities.Solid experience configuring and managing SAP data integration technologies such as Smart Data Integration (SDI), Smart Data Quality (SDQ), Smart Data Access (SDA), or SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT).Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving database bottlenecks using SAP HANA Cockpit, Plan Viz (Execution Plans), SQL Analyzer, and memory management utilities.Strong functional understanding of SAP business data models within S/4HANA or SAP BW/4HANA (e.g., Finance, Sales, Supply Chain data structures).Located in CET timezone (+/- 3 hours), we are unable to consider applications from candidates in other time zones. Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with SAP HANA XS Advanced (XSA) development using Node.js or Python runtime.Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) integration and direct live data connections to SAP HANA.Experience migrating legacy SAP HANA on-premise models to SAP HANA Cloud or SAP Datasphere.Knowledge of PAL (Predictive Analysis Library) or spatial data processing inside SAP HANA. Responsibilities: Design, model, and maintain high-performance, real-time calculation views and data artifacts inside SAP HANA to power reporting engines and downstream consumers.Write and optimize complex SQLScript procedures, scalar/table functions, and AMDPs, ensuring data processing logic is efficiently pushed down to the database tier.Architect and support robust ETL and data replication pipelines using SDI, SDA, and SLT for real-time data ingestion across hybrid cloud environments.Continuously monitor database health, evaluate execution plans via Plan Viz, and refactor inefficient SQL queries to maintain sub-second query response times under high concurrency.Enforce strict data security, user privilege concepts, and lifecycle management (Git/MTA transport mechanisms), while conducting peer reviews and producing clear technical documentation.
