Substation Commissioning Manager - Finland High Voltage Substation - Hyperscale & Mission-Critical Data Centre Project Global Commissioning is growing, and we're looking for experienced Substation Commissioning Managers to join our expanding delivery team across the UK and Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role on major HV infrastructure and substation projects, leading commissioning activities from planning and design review through to energisation, testing, and final handover. What you'll be doing:Leading commissioning activities across HV substations and associated electrical infrastructureManaging commissioning engineers, contractors, and project teams throughout the project lifecycleCoordinating testing, energisation, and system integration activitiesDriving programme delivery, quality, and safety performanceBuilding strong relationships with clients, utilities, DNOs, TSOs, and other stakeholdersReviewing designs and identifying technical risks and commissioning requirementsProducing commissioning plans, switching schedules, test procedures, reports, and documentation What we're looking for:Proven experience commissioning HV substations and transmission/distribution infrastructureStrong understanding of protection systems, switchgear, transformers, and control systemsPrevious experience managing commissioning teams on complex electrical projectsExperience working on projects ranging from 11kV to 400kVExcellent client-facing and stakeholder management skillsAbility to operate in fast-paced, high-risk environments while maintaining the highest safety standards Qualifications:Relevant Electrical Engineering qualificationAuthorised Person / Senior Authorised Person (SAP) experience preferredCSCS / ECS / SMSTS or equivalentDegree qualified or equivalent industry experienceKnowledge of National Grid, DNO, or utility commissioning standards is highly desirable Why join Global Commissioning?Work on some of Europe's most significant HV and grid infrastructure projectsCareer progression within a rapidly growing organisationCollaborative and supportive team cultureExposure to complex mission-critical and energy infrastructure projects across the UK and EuropeOpportunity to deliver projects supporting the global energy transitionInterested?
