Veterinary Lab Supervisor

Job Title: Veterinary Lab SupervisorLocation: OmanReports To: Laboratory & Poultry Health Manager Primary FunctionEnsuring compliance of different laboratory units with laboratory SOPs, maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory processes, and supervising laboratory staff. Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests across different units (Serology, Microbiology, with special focus on RT-PCR) • Collect all required samples (Blood, Salmonella Swabs, RT-PCR samples) • Ensure timely completion of tests across all laboratory units • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal laboratory SOPs • Monitor laboratory stock levels and expiry dates, and prepare detailed reports • Implement quality control measures to maintain accuracy and reliability of laboratory results • Use relevant software across different laboratory units • Train, guide, and support laboratory personnel, including specialists, technicians, and workers • Maintain strong communication and teamwork within the lab team • Follow instructions and standard procedures strictly • Remain flexible with changing priorities and work demands • Operate all equipment required for the role safely and correctly • Adhere to biosecurity, health, and safety regulations at all times • Perform other related duties as assigned, consistent with the role

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, or a related qualification such as Agriculture or Biology, with strong experience in laboratory practices • 8–10 years of experience in a Poultry Laboratory • RT-PCR experience is mandatory
