CAD Mechanical Engineer – Glass Systems

About the AssignmentAs part of the Glass Systems team, you will contribute to the development of critical vehicle components, including:WindscreensRear screensDoor glass systemsQuarter glassGlass roofsAssociated rail systemsYou will work in a cross-functional development environment, supporting projects from early engineering phases through industrialization and production implementation.This role offers the opportunity to work closely with design, engineering, manufacturing, and integration teams while contributing to the delivery of robust and high-quality vehicle solutions. Main ResponsibilitiesAs a CAD Mechanical Engineer, you will:Design and develop glass system components within ongoing vehicle programs.Create, update, and maintain CAD delivery models.Provide technical design support for glass-related components and systems.Develop and maintain 3D PMI (Product Manufacturing Information) within CAD models.Collaborate with Mechanical Integration teams to secure robust engineering solutions.Perform clash analyses and support virtual validation activities prior to releases.Update and maintain component templates when required.Support engineering and industrialization activities throughout the product development lifecycle.Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. Required QualificationsDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or a related engineering discipline.Strong experience working as a Design Engineer or CAD Mechanical Engineer.Advanced proficiency in CATIA V5.Experience working with Teamcenter.Strong knowledge of plastic component design and construction.Good understanding of engineering product development processes.Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Meritorious QualificationsExperience with automotive glass systems and glazing components.Knowledge of glass design and manufacturing processes.Experience within automotive product development.Familiarity with mechanical integration activities and release processes.Understanding of industrialization and production introduction activities.
