Nortyx Oy is a Finnish FinTech company building a regulated crypto-asset exchange for retail customers. We are based in Helsinki and are in the process of applying to the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) for authorisation as a crypto-asset service provider (CASP) under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). As we prepare for authorisation and launch, we are hiring a Chief Technology Officer to secure and oversee the technology behind our exchange. The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time senior management position and a key function holder, based in Helsinki. Leading the Technology Team in the first line of defence, you will own the design, security and day-to-day operation of our exchange platform, infrastructure, and our cloud and ICT systems, and you will run the Company's ICT risk-management and operational resilience framework in accordance with DORA. As a key function holder, the appointment is subject to the Company's suitability assessment and to prior fit-and-proper acceptance by FIN-FSA, in line with MiCA and DORA. Who we are looking for:A person of good repute, fit and proper to hold a key function in a regulated financial institution, with no criminal record, financial misconduct, sanctions history or any connection to money laundering or terrorist financing.Solid professional experience in technology leadership within regulated financial services, fintech, payments or crypto, ideally including building and running the platform and infrastructure for a regulated or high-availability financial service.Strong knowledge of secure software and platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and information security, together with the integration of third-party identity-verification, payment and blockchain-analytics providers, and the DORA ICT risk-management and operational resilience framework. Familiarity with the MiCA framework and the crypto-asset sector.A degree in a relevant field such as computer science, software or information engineering, information technology, cybersecurity or a related discipline, or equivalent knowledge evidenced by professional experience and qualifications.Based in Helsinki and available full-time. Fluency in English is required; Finnish and familiarity with the Finnish financial market are a strong advantage.
