Component Engineer – Powertrain

In this role, you will work with the development and maintenance of powertrain components, focusing on either Valve Train or Front End Accessory Drive (FEAD) systems. About the roleAs a Component Engineer, you will be responsible for driving component-related activities throughout the product development lifecycle. Working closely with design engineers, suppliers, testing teams, manufacturing, and quality organizations, you will contribute to developing robust and reliable powertrain solutions.The role combines technical ownership with cross-functional collaboration and offers the opportunity to work with advanced engineering challenges in a dynamic development environment. Main responsibilitiesTake technical ownership of components within the Valve Train or FEAD areaDrive component development throughout the complete product lifecycleDefine, review, and follow up technical requirements and specificationsCollaborate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholdersSupport testing, verification, and validation activitiesInvestigate technical issues and drive root cause analysesContribute to continuous improvements of products and processesSupport releases and technical documentation activitiesWork cross-functionally with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and quality teams Your profileYou are a structured and proactive engineer with a strong technical interest and a solution-oriented mindset. You enjoy taking responsibility for your area while collaborating with stakeholders across different functions. We see that you have:B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentExperience working as a Component Engineer, Design Engineer, or in a similar roleExperience from the automotive or heavy vehicle industryExperience within powertrain developmentExperience working with Creo and KOLAFluent in English, both written and spoken Meritorious:Experience within engine development or Valve Train systemsExperience with FEAD (Front End Accessory Drive) systems We warmly welcome your application already today!
