🚀 Hiring: Senior Data Engineer | Gothenburg, Sweden | 6-Month Contract We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a data-driven technology environment in Stockholm. This is an initial 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension. 📍 Location: Gothenburg, Sweden🏢 Working Model: Hybrid, Contract📅 Contract: 6 months🔄 Extension: Highly possible About the RoleYou will be responsible for designing, building and owning scalable data products and reliable data pipelines that support product development, analytics and data-driven decision-making.You will work closely with Product, Engineering and Analytics teams, while collaborating with Privacy, Legal and Security stakeholders to ensure data is reliable, secure and compliant. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across multiple source systems.Build and maintain data products, data models and business-ready datasets.Ensure data quality, accuracy, reliability and availability across data solutions.Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot production issues and minimize downtime.Implement testing, validation, monitoring and data quality processes.Improve pipelines through automation, scalability and performance optimization.Evolve data architecture to support changing business requirements and growing data volumes.Ensure appropriate handling of data in line with privacy, security and regulatory requirements, including GDPR.Maintain clear documentation of data flows, architecture and privacy processes.Apply engineering best practices including CI/CD, testing, monitoring and documentation.Identify opportunities to modernize and automate the data infrastructure.Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to technical decisions and mentoring of other team members. What We're Looking For8+ years of Data Engineering experience, ideally with large-scale or sensor-based data.Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python, Scala or Java.Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.Strong experience building and managing production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.Solid understanding of data architecture, modelling, governance and data quality.Experience with production monitoring, reliability, troubleshooting and performance optimization.Understanding of data privacy and compliance, preferably GDPR.Experience working in product/engineering-focused environments and collaborating across technical and business teams.
