Demand Forecasting Specialist

We are seeking experienced Demand Forecasting Specialists to support demand planning, forecasting, and supply chain optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, experience with forecasting tools and methodologies, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve forecast accuracy and business planning. Assignment DetailsLocations: Gothenburg (Sweden), Oslo-Lysaker (Norway), Nordics, and selected European locations depending on the role Working Model: HybridStart Date: ASAP / Within 4-8 weeksDuration: 6-12 months with potential extensionAllocation: Full-timeLanguage: English Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain short, medium, and long-term demand forecasts.Analyze historical sales data, market trends, seasonality, and business drivers.Improve forecast accuracy through statistical modeling and data-driven insights.Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance teams.Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.Monitor forecast performance and recommend corrective actions.Identify demand risks, supply constraints, and inventory implications.Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs for demand planning activities.Perform scenario planning and demand simulations to support business decisions.Drive continuous improvement in forecasting processes and planning tools. Required Skills & Experience5-10 years of experience in Demand Planning and Demand Forecasting.Strong understanding of supply chain planning and inventory management.Experience with forecasting and planning tools such as:SAP IBP / APOOracle SCMKinaxis RapidResponseBlue Yonder (JDA)Microsoft Dynamics 365Other enterprise planning solutionsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Advanced proficiency in Excel.Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting and analytics tools.Ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Preferred QualificationsExperience in Manufacturing, Automotive, FMCG, Retail, Consumer Goods, or Supply Chain environments.Knowledge of S&OP, Inventory Planning, and Supply Planning processes.APICS CPIM/CSCP or equivalent supply chain certifications are a plus.
