Senior Information Technology Strategist

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Strategist for a long-term assignment focused on IT strategy, strategic planning, and digital transformation for one of our clients in Sweden. Assignment Details:Role: Senior IT StrategistLevel: Senior / Level 5Start Date: November 4, 2026Initial Contract: Until November 3, 2027Extension: Up to an additional 12 monthsLocation: Örebro, SwedenWork Arrangement: On-site at least 4 days per weekRemote Work: Permitted on other days by agreement About the RoleThe role will involve:Analyzing business needs, current capabilities, and future development requirementsDeveloping and refining IT strategies and strategic governing documentsDefining target states, roadmaps, and strategic action plansConducting environmental and technology trend analysisPreparing decision-support materials for management and steering groupsPlanning and facilitating workshops with business and IT stakeholdersConducting stakeholder interviews and structured analysisSupporting change management related to strategic initiativesCoordinating between business operations and ITMonitoring and evaluating strategic initiatives and strategic objectivesDeveloping recommendations based on strategic studies and analysis Mandatory RequirementsCandidates must meet all of the following requirements and clearly demonstrate them in their CV with specific assignments and timeframes:Minimum 8 years of documented experience since 2015 in IT strategy or equivalent strategic IT workExperience independently leading or executing the development of IT strategies, target states, roadmaps, or equivalent governing documentsExperience working in complex organizations with multiple stakeholdersProven experience leading workshops, interviews, and analysis involving both business representatives and IT functionsExperience preparing decision-support materials for management teams, steering committees, or equivalent bodiesAbility to independently drive strategic studies from initial analysis through to final recommendationsAbility and willingness to work from Örebro at least 4 days per week Preferred QualificationsThe following experience will be considered an advantage:3+ years of experience working with government agencies or other public sector organizations8+ years of experience developing and working with different types of IT strategies and strategic governing documents8+ years of experience translating business strategies into IT strategic target states and action plans3+ years of experience with environmental and technology trend analysis related to digitalization and IT3+ years of experience with change management linked to digital transformation5+ years of experience with established frameworks and methodologies for strategic IT work, such as TOGAF, ITIL, PM3, COBIT, or equivalent3+ years of experience in Business Architecture or Enterprise Architecture Application RequirementsTo apply, please provide:An updated CV clearly demonstrating how you meet the mandatory requirementsA brief description explaining how you meet each mandatory requirementDetails of the preferred qualifications you meet, with references to the relevant experience in your CVYour current work location / place of residenceConfirmation that you can work on-site in Örebro at least 4 days per weekYour availability from November 4, 2026Your desired hourly rate in SEK, excluding VAT Interested candidates can share their updated CV to divya.m@bapon.net and the requested details with us for further consideration.
