Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Location: Southeast FinlandContract Type: Freelance / ContractContract Length: 8 MonthsWorking Pattern: Fully Site-BasedRate: Dependent on Experience The RoleLead all Health, Safety, and Environmental activities across major infrastructure construction projects.Ensure full compliance with Finnish HSE legislation, client requirements, and project standards.Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and safety reviews.Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, implementing effective corrective actions.Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSE performance throughout the project lifecycle.Deliver HSE training, site inductions, and toolbox talks.Prepare and maintain HSE reports, KPIs, and project documentation.Drive a strong safety culture and promote continuous improvement across site operations. Requirements5+ years' experience in an HSE leadership role within infrastructure, civil engineering, utilities, or major construction projects.Proven experience managing HSE activities on large-scale infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of Finnish HSE regulations and industry best practices.Experience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.Fluent Finnish and English are required.
