As ESG Analyst – EU Policy & Implementation (m/f/x) you will be responsible for tracking EU and Member State ESG-related policies and regulations (with a focus on the Battery Regulation, carbon border adjustments mechanism, supply chain due diligence, corporate sustainability reporting, etc.), compiling timely internal briefs, and assisting in Munich office and Spain factory with ESG compliance. Serve as the communication bridge between the EU policy context and the Group's headquarters in Xiamen China, ensuring smooth two-way information flow. Outgoing personality, proactive in driving cross-departmental collaboration, breaking down silos, and helping diverse teams understand policy requirements in plain language and driving implementation. Key responsibilities 1. Policy Tracking & Information RelayMonitor ESG-related regulatory developments at EU-level, as well as those in Germany and Spain (e.g., Battery Regulation, CBAM, CSDDD, CSRD), promptly identifying changes that may impact the business.Translate complex policies into language that teams can understand, producing concise internal briefs (in Chinese and English) for European management and headquarters.Maintain a compliance calendar to remind departments of key deadlines (report submissions, end of transition periods) so nothing is missed.2. ESG Compliance CoordinationAssist Munich office and Spain factory in preparing ESG compliance materials (environmental permits, emissions data, waste records, energy reports, etc.) and coordinate with external audits and government inspections.Turn regulatory requirements into practical step-by-step actions for factories, walking them through understanding and implementation rather than just distributing documents.When compliance issues arise, proactively coordinate with legal, production, procurement, and other departments to find solutions and drive remediation.3. External Communication & Industry EngagementRepresent the company at industry associations, chambers of commerce, and policy consultation meetings to understand sector-wide concerns and communicate the company's positions in a simple, clear manner.Ensure external communications align with the Group's ESG strategy; all external materials follow internal approval workflows.Maintain regular contact with local government, communities, and NGOs to build positive working relationships.4. EU-China Bridge & Internal CoordinationAct as the liaison window between the European team and the Group's ESG/government affairs team in China, translating EU regulatory developments into business impacts headquarters can understand, and conveying headquarters strategy to Europe. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or above in any discipline; degrees in Law, Public Policy, Environmental Science, Business, Languages, or related fields preferred.3–5 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, EU public policy, regulatory affairs, or related roles.Strong communication and drive: Skilled at cross-departmental coordination, able to bring different teams together for alignment and progress, good at breaking down silos.Bussiness fluent language skills in English, Spanish and Chinese: Able to support permitting, works council engagement, and local ESG/labor compliance for our new Spain factory.Strong execution, detail-oriented: Able to break regulatory requirements into concrete task lists and follow through to completion without dropping the ball.Fast learner: It's okay if you're not yet familiar with ESG regulations; willingness and ability to learn quickly and get up to speed on new areas like the Battery Regulation and carbon border adjustments.Hands-on experience with environmental, safety, or quality compliance at factories in Germany or Spain highly preferred.Familiarity with Battery Passport requirements and digital supply-chain due-diligence tools.
