Oriola is looking for an experienced Financial Controller with strong general ledger accounting expertise to take independent responsibility for the accounting and reporting.

This varied role offers broad exposure to the financial operations of Oriola, a well-established company listed on Nasdaq Helsinki and operating in the Nordic health and wellbeing sector.

The position is fixed-term until the end of year 2028. The role is based at Oriola’s headquarters in Espoo. Oriola follows a hybrid working model with office presence three days a week. The starting date can be agreed with the selected candidate.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the accounting and reporting of Oriola are accurate and completed according to the schedules and requirements of a listed company. You will join Oriola’s seven-person finance team responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing and the general ledger accounting of Oriola parent company and Oriola subsidiary. You will report to the Head of Financial Services Finland.

Your Key Activities Include

Managing the daily and periodic accounting of Oriola parent companyPreparing statutory and Group reporting for Oriola parent companyPreparing monthly VAT reportingTransferring monthly payroll data to SAP and performing the related reconciliationsPreparing corporate income tax returns and related reportingProcessing bank statements relating to general ledger transactionsPerforming other accounting duties, including transferring treasury data to SAP and performing the related reconciliationsSupporting the accounting of Oriola subsidiary, including collecting import tax data and posting accruals

Skills & Requirements

The Successful Candidate Has

At least 10 years of experience in finance and accountingPrevious experience as a Chief Accountant or in a comparable general ledger accounting rolePrevious experience with SAP FI/CO Advanced Excel skillsFluency in both Finnish and EnglishA relevant degree in accounting, finance, or a related fieldStrong communication and collaboration skillsThe ability to well under pressure, particularly during month-end closingA proactive and independent approach to work, combined with the ability to ask for support when neededAccuracy and strong attention to detailGood numerical understanding and the ability to learn quicklyPrevious experience in a listed company is considered a strong advantage

Terms Of Employment

This is a fixed-term full-time position until 31.12.2028, and we want you to start as soon as possible.The selected person will undergo a drug test and a standard security clearance in accordance with the Security Clearance Act, which is a prerequisite for the establishment of an employment relationship.This position is based in Mankkaa, Espoo, Finland.The employment is within Oriola Group.
