Freelance Web Developer – Beauty Shopify Launch

This role is ideal for a skilled Shopify web developer/designer with a passion for creating premium, conversion-focused e-commerce experiences in the beauty sector. You will be responsible for designing and building a launch-ready Shopify website for a boutique DIY lash extension brand with a curated catalogue of nine products. The project emphasizes editorial design, seamless navigation, and a merchandising strategy that guides customers to purchase a Starter Kit as their entry point, followed by refills and accessories. All branding, photography, product copy, and a digital application guide are provided, allowing you to focus on site design, development, and user experience. The project timeline is 4–6 weeks, with the possibility of future collaboration.

Deliverables

Design and develop a Shopify website tailored for a premium beauty brand, ensuring a visually compelling and editorial aesthetic. Implement a merchandising and navigation structure that prioritizes Starter Kit purchases, followed by lash refills and accessories. Integrate provided branding assets, product photography, and copy into the site. Ensure the digital application guide is accessible post-purchase via email and QR code. Optimize the site for mobile and desktop, focusing on fast load times and smooth user journeys. Set up essential e-commerce functionalities, including secure checkout, inventory management, and analytics. Conduct thorough testing to ensure a flawless launch and provide post-launch support as needed.

Proven experience designing and developing Shopify websites, preferably for beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands. Strong portfolio demonstrating premium, editorial e-commerce design. Expertise in Shopify theme customization, Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Ability to translate brand guidelines and creative assets into a cohesive digital experience. Understanding of e-commerce best practices, conversion optimization, and user experience design. Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver within a 4–6 week timeline. Availability for potential follow-up work post-launch. Based in any location; remote work is acceptable.
