Hardware Engineer Softstarter
Location: Västerås, Sweden
Are you an experienced Hardware Engineer with a strong background in electronics development and embedded systems? We at WeQuel are currently looking for a Hardware Engineer Softstarter for a consulting assignment with one of our clients.
In this role, you will work with the development of next-generation softstarter products, taking electronics hardware from concept and circuit design through verification, prototype testing and implementation in serial production. You will be part of a cross-functional R&D environment, collaborating closely with software, system architecture, product management and production engineering.
About the Role
You will be responsible for electronics hardware development throughout the product development lifecycle. The role combines hands-on circuit design and laboratory verification with technical coordination, documentation and collaboration across different engineering disciplines.
Your main responsibilities will include
Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits from concept to serial productionCreate schematics and define requirements and constraints for PCB layoutDefine verification specifications and perform simulation, prototype testing and hardware verificationDocument developed solutions and support implementation within production engineeringTranslate market and system requirements into hardware requirements together with product owners, system architects and software developersTake responsibility for hardware development activities, including risk identification, technical targets and coordination with suppliers and other functionsMonitor new technologies and identify opportunities for future product developmentContribute to technical innovation and intellectual property development
We Are Looking For
Must Have
B.Sc or M.Sc Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related engineering discipline.At least 5 years of experience in electronics development within embedded systems in an industrial environmentStrong experience in hardware design, electronic circuits and circuit diagramsExperience with simulation toolsHands-on experience with prototype testing and validation in a laboratory environmentAbility to independently drive hardware development activitiesFluent English, both written and spoken

Experience working with voltage levels up to approximately 1 kVKnowledge of EMC-compatible hardware designExperience developing electronics for industrial productsSwedish language skills
