Head of Engineering – Vascular & NeurovascularEstablished Search is proud to be partnering with an innovative and fast-growing medical device company to recruit a Head of Engineering to lead the engineering and product development function across its expanding Vascular and Neurovascular portfolio in Europe.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced medical device engineering leader to join a company developing next-generation technologies across the vascular, peripheral vascular, neurovascular and endovascular markets. The successful candidate will take ownership of the engineering function, leading the development of innovative catheter-based and minimally invasive devices from early-stage concept through design, verification, validation and regulatory approval. Key Responsibilities:• Lead the engineering and product development strategy across the company's vascular and neurovascular technology portfolio.• Drive product development programmes from concept and prototyping through design verification, validation and regulatory submission.• Lead and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary engineering team across areas including mechanical engineering, device design, materials and prototyping.• Establish and maintain robust design controls, engineering processes, risk management and development methodologies in line with FDA and applicable regulatory requirements.• Work closely with physicians, R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality and Commercial teams to translate clinical needs into innovative and commercially viable products.• Oversee technical relationships with external engineering partners, manufacturers, suppliers and development partners. What We're Looking For:✔ Proven engineering leadership experience within the medical device industry, ideally across vascular, neurovascular, peripheral vascular, endovascular or catheter-based technologies.✔ Demonstrated experience taking medical devices through design, development, verification & validation and regulatory approval.✔ Strong technical understanding of catheter-based, minimally invasive or interventional medical devices.✔ Experience leading and developing engineering teams within a start-up, scale-up or high-growth environment.✔ Strong knowledge of design controls, risk management and FDA medical-device requirements.✔ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
