Head of Tech Operations 📍 Europe (Hybrid/Remote) | Full-time | Reporting directly to CTO/COO About the company Our client is a multinational organization with 5,000+ employees, operating across multiple countries in the semiconductor and fintech sectors. As part of its continued growth, the company is looking for a senior Tech Operations leader to oversee resourcing, vendor management, and staffing strategy across its European IT function. What you'll doDefine and lead the Tech Operations strategy across multiple European markets, ensuring alignment with overall technology and business objectivesOwn IT staffing and recruitment strategy for technical profiles (SAP, DevOps, Cloud, Development, Infrastructure, Support), acting as final decision-maker on critical hires and staffing adjudicationManage and develop Tech Operations teams across different countries, navigating diverse cultural and regulatory contextsBuild and manage strategic partnerships with external outsourcing vendors, ensuring quality, performance, and alignment with business needsOwn the end-to-end vendor management lifecycle: identifying, evaluating, and selecting technology vendors, outsourcing/staffing partners, and service providersLead procurement/adjudication processes for IT services and staffing contracts, ensuring compliance and value for moneyPrepare and evaluate commercial proposals, negotiating terms, pricing, and SLAs with technology, outsourcing, and staffing vendorsLead change management and process transformation initiatives across IT operations and workforce planningDefine operational KPIs and standards for tech resourcing, vendor performance, and staffing across marketsDesign and deliver strategic proposals and business cases for senior leadershipRepresent the Tech Operations function in strategic conversations with executive leadership and external stakeholders What we're looking for10+ years of experience in Tech/IT Operations, with a track record spanning diverse industries and international marketsAt least the last 3 years performed in an identical or equivalent role (Head of Tech Operations, Director of IT Operations, or similar)Proven experience managing Tech Operations or IT resourcing teams in a multi-country setupSolid experience in IT staffing/recruitment, vendor management, procurement/adjudication processes, and evaluating commercial proposalsProven experience managing partnerships with external outsourcing vendors, ensuring service quality and contractual complianceStrong negotiation skills, with a track record of managing contracts and commercial terms with technology, outsourcing, and staffing partnersDemonstrated ability to collaborate with international teams and stakeholders across different cultures and regionsStrong analytical skills and executive-level stakeholder managementExperience leading change management and process transformation initiatives is a plusFluent English; other languages are an assetNote: candidates with a background exclusively in consulting firms will not be considered.
