Role DescriptionThe IT Project Manager – AI Project | Stockholm role at ExcelGens, Inc. is a contract, on-site position based in Solna, Sweden. The IT Project Manager will lead and coordinate an AI project from initial planning and requirements gathering through implementation and transition into operations.Day-to-day responsibilities include translating business requirements into clear project activities, managing project plans, timelines, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder communication. The role involves close collaboration with business teams, IT specialists, architects, information security teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of AI solutions.The IT Project Manager will also support AI governance, compliance, information security, monitoring, incident management, lifecycle management, and operational readiness, ensuring AI solutions are implemented in a secure, controlled, and sustainable manner. The role requires the ability to simplify complex technical topics, facilitate discussions, drive decisions, and maintain alignment across cross-functional teams. QualificationsStrong experience in technical IT project management and delivery of technology projects.Good understanding of AI, Generative AI, and data-driven solutions.Strong project planning, coordination, stakeholder management, and communication skills.Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical requirements, activities, and deliverables.Experience working with cross-functional teams including Business, IT, Architecture, and Information Security.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies, and project priorities.Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or other project management methodologies.Experience in AI projects, AI/MLOps, or AI operational capabilities is an advantage.Experience with AI governance, information security, compliance, or regulated environments is preferred.Experience working within large or technology-intensive organizations is an advantage.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong focus on quality, structured delivery, governance, and measurable business value.English and Swedish language proficiency required.Willingness and ability to work on-site in Solna, Sweden.Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent are an advantage.
