Linux System Administrator

We at WeQuel are now looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator in Södertälje. You will be a key part of the customer's infrastructure organization, focusing on automation, architecture and platform engineering. You will design, build and maintain a GPU-accelerated Remote Desktop (VDI) environment that supports pre- and post-processing of HPC workloads, including automotive simulations, visualization and rendering. The platform runs on Rocky Linux / RHEL, uses X11 and Xfce4, and uses NICE DCV, EF Portal (EnginFrame) and SLURM to deliver high-performance graphical sessions remotely.

Designing, deploying and maintaining a Linux-based, GPU-enabled Remote Desktop environment (DCV, EnginFrame, SLURM, X11, Xfce4 on Rocky Linux)Developing automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), mainly with AnsibleKeeping deployments consistent and repeatableSecuring the platform and keeping it scalable, fast and maintainable over timeWorking closely with the HPC and Infrastructure Engineering teamsDocumenting architecture, configurations, deployment workflows and operating procedures

You will work in a technically advanced environment where you own complex systems yourself and work closely with several teams across the organization.

Solid experience as a Linux System Administrator, ideally with Rocky Linux or RHELStrong automation and IaC skills, preferably Ansible or similarScripting skills, mainly Bash (Python is a plus)Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, GitLab)Understanding of X11, desktop environments (Xfce4, GNOME) and remote rendering/display protocolsGood knowledge of networking, security and monitoring tools, preferably Prometheus-based observabilityStrong architectural mindset, able to design scalable and maintainable systemsAble to work independently and take ownership of complex environmentsComfortable working onsite in Södertälje

Experience with HPC environments and the SLURM workload managerExperience with NICE DCV, EnginFrame (EF Portal), Open OnDemand or similar remote visualization platformsFamiliarity with container technologies (Docker, Podman)Experience with monitoring and observability tools
