Maintenance Engineer – Emissions Test Facility

About the AssignmentAs a Maintenance Engineer, you will support the availability, reliability, and performance of testing facilities and equipment used for emissions measurements in Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) test cells.The role combines practical engineering activities with planning, coordination, maintenance optimization, supplier management, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate test results through calibration, validation, and correlation activities while supporting the development of efficient maintenance processes. Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Maintenance Engineer, you will:Support the planning, design, and implementation of maintenance programs for testing equipment and facilities.Ensure availability and reliability of emission measurement systems and ICE test cells.Perform correlation and validation activities using combustion engines to verify test cell measurement accuracy.Analyze test results and support troubleshooting and root cause investigations.Coordinate maintenance activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.Work closely with external suppliers regarding resource planning, spare parts procurement, and service agreements.Participate in daily operational planning and prioritization of maintenance activities.Support subcontractor coordination and technical follow-up.Contribute to cost optimization and maintenance efficiency improvements.Support the development of maintenance standards, procedures, and best practices. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.2–5 years of relevant experience within maintenance engineering, testing, manufacturing, or related technical fields.Experience working with technical equipment, maintenance planning, or industrial systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams.Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Meritorious QualificationsExperience with emissions measurements or engine testing environments.Background in maritime engineering.Background in mechatronics engineering.Experience within test facilities, laboratories, or validation environments.Knowledge of maintenance optimization and continuous improvement methodologies.Experience working with suppliers and service providers.
