PLC Engineer – Manufacturing Engineering

About the AssignmentAs a PLC Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting new product launches, global manufacturing development projects, and ongoing production activities. You will be responsible for PLC engineering activities, software optimization, industrial automation, and coordination across multiple engineering functions.This role requires close collaboration with production teams, manufacturing engineering organizations, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure robust, efficient, and standardized manufacturing solutions. Main ResponsibilitiesAs a PLC Engineer, you will:Ensure compliance with established electrical and PLC engineering standards throughout projects.Support project execution by following up on technical solutions, timelines, and deliverables within your area of responsibility.Coordinate end-user handover activities from project phase to production operations.Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC software and automation systems.Coordinate PLC-related activities with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.Drive standardization and best-practice sharing between manufacturing sites and central engineering teams.Support capability development by sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues, and conducting technical training sessions.Maintain effective communication across engineering, production, and project organizations. Required QualificationsStrong knowledge of PLC programming and automation systems.Knowledge of industrial networks and communication protocols.Experience with machine safety systems.Good understanding of electrical hardware and control systems.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, or equivalent experience.5-7+ years of experience within manufacturing, industrial automation, or the automotive industry.Strong project management and leadership capabilities.Experience working in international and cross-functional environments.Knowledge of manufacturing engineering processes, facilities, tooling, and equipment.Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken. Meritorious QualificationsExperience with electrical design.Knowledge of EPLAN. Experience with Siemens TIA Portal.Experience supporting industrialization and production launch activities.
