Program Manager

emagine is looking for a Program Manager to our retail client.

Start date: 2026-09-26End date: 2027-02-22 with possible extensionLocation: Stockholm on-site 3-4 days per week

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead a large-scale infrastructure modernization and rollout initiative for our client. The assignment focuses on driving strategic technology transformation across a global retail environment, ensuring alignment between business and technology stakeholders while delivering long-term scalable capabilities.

The Program Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the program, including planning, governance, stakeholder management, budget ownership, and rollout execution. You will work closely with multiple business and technology teams to ensure successful delivery of strategic objectives across several markets.

Lead the overall program delivery, including scope, timeline, budget, and reporting.Establish and maintain an integrated program roadmap across key initiatives.Manage cross-functional stakeholders across business and technology organizations.Drive risk, dependency, and issue management throughout the program lifecycle.Support funding activities, business case development, and investment planning.Lead rollout planning and execution across multiple markets.Ensure standards, architectural principles, and governance frameworks are adopted and followed.Provide regular governance updates to sponsors and senior leadership.Ensure delivery of agreed capabilities supporting future business and technology needs.

Proven experience leading large-scale technology transformation programs in complex international environments.Strong background in program and portfolio management.Experience managing infrastructure modernization, enterprise technology initiatives, or large-scale rollouts.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including senior executive engagement.Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and business case creation.Demonstrated ability to manage risks, dependencies, and cross-functional delivery teams.Experience working in agile and hybrid delivery environments.Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive alignment across multiple organizations.

Experience from retail or other customer-facing industries.Experience working with large-scale infrastructure and transformation programs.Experience working in global organizations with distributed teams and multiple markets.
