Our client is a highly established, technology-driven proprietary trading firm with a strong global presence across electronic markets. The firm has a sophisticated low-latency infrastructure and a strong track record of supporting systematic traders with the technology, capital, and resources required to scale high-performing strategies. This is a senior, entrepreneurial mandate for an established HFT trader who has a proven track record running a book and is now looking to take full ownership of a trading business. The RoleAs a Low-Latency Quant Trader / Desk Lead, you will:Bring and deploy a proven systematic HFT strategy within the firm's trading platformTake full ownership of your trading book, including strategy development, risk, and performanceDefine the strategic mandate for the desk, including markets, products, and trading opportunitiesContinue to develop and optimise alpha, execution, and low-latency trading strategiesWork closely with quantitative researchers and engineers to maximise strategy performanceBuild and hire your own team of traders, researchers, and developers as the desk scalesHave significant autonomy over the direction and long-term development of the businessTake responsibility for scaling the strategy and building a meaningful trading franchise This is a genuine desk-building opportunity rather than a traditional trader hire. The successful candidate will bring an established trading edge and will have the autonomy and resources to build a team and business around it.
