Role: SAP Program Director – SAP Cutover & Transformation DeliveryLocation: Sodertalje, Sweden (Hybrid 2 days onsite/week)Job Type: Permanent/FTC About the RoleAs a SAP Program Director, you will serve as a trusted advisor clients program managing complex SAP-enabled business transformation. Working as part of SAP Service Line, you will help clients shape their key programs / projects, define business value, and lead large-scale SAP programs across operations, supply chain, procurement, planning, quality, finance, data and customer service. This is a client-facing program role requiring strong leadership presence, deep SAP program expertise, and the ability to connect business priorities with pragmatic program outcomes. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, contribute to growth and solutioning, and work closely with alliance partners to deliver measurable value for clients in industries such as automotive, industrial manufacturing, process manufacturing and related industries. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering SAP S/4HANA programmes, leading end-to-end cutover planning and go-live execution, managing cross-functional delivery teams, and serving as a trusted advisor to client leadership. The role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively bridge business and technology teams, drive critical deployment activities, and build long-term customer relationships while identifying opportunities to expand services.Experience in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) and data-led transformation programmes is considered a strong advantage. Key ResponsibilitiesSAP Cutover & Deployment LeadershipLead end-to-end SAP cutover planning, execution, deployment readiness, go-live, and hypercare activities for large-scale SAP transformation programmes.Develop and maintain integrated cutover plans across business, functional, technical, data migration, testing, infrastructure, and third-party workstreams.Facilitate deployment readiness assessments, cutover workshops, and executive go-live reviews.Drive risk identification, dependency management, and mitigation planning related to deployment and go-live activities.Coordinate mock cutovers, dress rehearsals, contingency planning, and command-centre execution during critical deployment periods.Ensure alignment across SAP workstreams, business stakeholders, integration teams, infrastructure teams, and external vendors.Provide executive reporting and recommendations regarding deployment readiness, critical risks, and go-live decisions.Lead hypercare planning and post-go-live stabilisation activities. Transformation LeadershipAdvise senior business and IT stakeholders on SAP programme strategy, governance, delivery approach, and transformation roadmap planning.Lead complex SAP programmes spanning process design, integration, testing, deployment, business readiness, organisational change, and operational stabilisation.Manage interdependencies across business, functional, technical, data, integration, and testing teams.Coordinate delivery across onsite and offshore teams while ensuring alignment to programme objectives, timelines, and quality standards.Establish effective governance structures, programme reporting, RAID management, and executive communication frameworks.Drive programme execution using structured delivery methodologies and tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, and related project management platforms. Client Engagement & Relationship ManagementBuild trusted relationships with client executives, programme sponsors, business leaders, and IT stakeholders.Serve as the primary delivery contact for programme execution, governance, and deployment readiness activities.Facilitate steering committees, executive reviews, workshops, and decision-making forums.Provide expert guidance on programme challenges related to deployment, integration, testing, resource planning, organisational readiness, and risk management.Build long-term client relationships through consistent delivery excellence and proactive stakeholder engagement.Support strategic account growth by identifying new opportunities, future transformation initiatives, and areas where client can provide additional value. Team Leadership & CoachingLead multi-disciplinary teams across SAP functional, technical, integration, testing, change management, PMO, and deployment workstreams.Manage distributed onsite and offshore delivery teams, establishing clear responsibilities, governance processes, and escalation paths.Coordinate cross-functional teams during critical deployment phases and major programme milestones.Mentor project managers, workstream leads, and consultants to improve delivery effectiveness and team performance.Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented delivery culture. Business Development & Account GrowthSupport business development activities by identifying client needs and shaping future opportunities.Contribute to proposals, solution development, estimations, and client presentations.Partner with account teams and client stakeholders to expand presence within existing accounts.Identify opportunities to extend services across SAP transformation, programme management, data, integration, deployment, and managed services.Contribute to thought leadership and best practices within the SAP consulting practice. Delivery ExcellenceMaintain accountability for programme quality, stakeholder alignment, delivery performance, and overall execution outcomes.Oversee programme governance, risk management, issue resolution, and dependency tracking.Ensure alignment between business priorities and programme delivery objectives.Monitor programme financials, forecasts, resource planning, and delivery performance metrics.Support client workshops, governance meetings, deployment activities, and key programme milestones through onsite engagement when required. RequSSired Experience & Qualifications15+ years of experience in SAP consulting, programme delivery, project management, or enterprise transformation.Proven experience delivering large SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA programmes in complex enterprise environments.Strong hands-on experience leading SAP cutover planning, deployment readiness, go-live execution, and hypercare activities.Demonstrated success leading multiple SAP go-lives as a Cutover Lead, Programme Manager, Project Manager, or Transformation Lead.Experience managing complex programme dependencies across business, functional, technical, integration, testing, and deployment workstreams.Strong understanding of programme governance, risk management, testing strategy, release management, and deployment planning.Experience managing global delivery teams across onsite, nearshore, and offshore locations.Strong executive stakeholder management and customer relationship-building skills.Experience within manufacturing, automotive, industrial products, logistics, or supply chain-intensive industries is highly desirable.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline.SAP certification and/or project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe) preferred. Nice to HaveExperience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) programmes and data governance initiatives.Understanding of master data management, data quality, and data migration processes within SAP transformations.Experience supporting data readiness activities as part of SAP deployment and cutover planning.Exposure to SAP Activate methodology and related implementation frameworks.
