Our client in the retail sector is seeking a senior Platform Engineer to own and develop their Kafka platform on Kubernetes (you build it, you run it) and act as Kafka expert for the development teams.

Responsibilities
Operate, upgrade, and scale multi-cluster Kafka environments (Strimzi on AKS), including HA/DRKafka security (ACLs, mTLS, SASL, OAuth), Connectors, and Schema RegistryMonitoring, troubleshooting, and Tier 3 supportAdvise Java/Spring Boot teams on client configurationAdminister HiveMQ MQTT brokers
Requirements
4+ years of platform-level Kafka experience (Strimzi, Kafka Connect, KRaft)Strong AKS/Kubernetes experienceJava and Spring BootGitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Helm, TerraformPrometheus, Grafana, SplunkHiveMQ experience
