Senior / Lead Substation Design Engineer

In this role, you will be involved in the design and development of medium-voltage substation solutions and work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.Your responsibilitiesDesign and develop medium-voltage substation solutions and equipment layoutsPrepare and review SLDs, technical specifications, calculations, RFQs, and engineering documentationEnsure technical compliance and coordinate interfaces with suppliers and project stakeholdersSupport design reviews, tendering activities, and project deliveryCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, customers, and suppliersTo succeed in this role, you haveStrong experience in electrical substation designExperience with medium-voltage equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, busbars, reactors, capacitors, surge arresters, and related componentsAbility to prepare and review engineering documentation throughout the project lifecycleStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to engineeringExcellent communication skills and experience working in international project environments We offerALTEN Finland offers a long-term opportunity to work within a skilled expert team.
