WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROJECTSYou will be assigned to a large-scale technical facility in Poznań, forming part of a well-resourced project team delivering a fast-track, high-specification build. The M&E scope is substantial, covering major mechanical, electrical and critical systems packages that sit at the heart of the facility’s performance. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will work closely with project management, engineering and procurement teams, as well as the client’s representatives and a multinational supply chain. The site culture is collaborative, organised and focused on delivery, with robust commercial systems and processes supporting consistency across the European portfolio. Employment is through the Irish business, giving you the stability and structure of an Ireland-based role alongside the experience of a major European assignment. It is an excellent opportunity to build an international track record on a flagship project, with ownership of the M&E commercial position from procurement through to final account.

RESPONSIBILITIESTake commercial responsibility for major M&E packages on a large-scale mission-critical project in PoznańLead subcontract procurement, including tender preparation, analysis, negotiation and award for mechanical and electrical packagesAdminister subcontracts, managing valuations, payments, variations and change controlPrepare accurate cost value reconciliations, forecasts and monthly commercial reportsIdentify and manage commercial risk and opportunity, including early notification and entitlementManage client-side valuations and variation submissions in collaboration with the Commercial ManagerWork closely with project and engineering teams to align commercial strategy with technical deliveryNegotiate and agree subcontract final accountsSupport and mentor junior QS team members on site

WHAT YOU NEEDProven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or experienced QS within an M&E contractor, specialist building services or Tier 1 main contractor environmentA strong understanding of mechanical and electrical packages on large, technically complex projectsExperience on data centre or other mission-critical projects is highly beneficial but not essentialSound knowledge of international forms of contract, including NEC and FIDICA degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline; MRICS or MSCSI chartership desirableStrong negotiation, reporting and stakeholder management skillsWillingness to take on a European project assignment in Poznań
