System Engineer/Diagnostic Designer-Tester

About the roleAnalyze system architecture and define diagnostic solutionsDefine system and software requirements for diagnostic designDeliver detailed diagnostic design solutions as input to implementation teamsPerform system verification of design solutionsMaintain diagnostic databases of diagnostic entities used by manufacturing and aftermarket teamsDesign and implement test cases to ensure quick and efficient known qualityMonitor the execution of test strategies across the organizationEnsure compliance with diagnostic standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 14229, SAE-J2012, SAE-1979)Define datapoints for analysis in backend and/or predictive maintenanceDefine control routines to support testing and workshop verificationAuthor software requirements according to ASPICE (SYS and SWE)Structure, create, and maintain DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) and related dataConfigure UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services) services as needed for each sub-systemConduct hands-on testing and fault injection in vehicles and rigs Your profileB.Sc or M.Sc degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent years of experienceExperience with embedded systems and software/hardware design for embedded systemsKnowledge of diagnostic standards (ISO 14229, SAE-J2012, SAE-1979)Experience in reliable diagnostic monitor designFamiliarity with automotive protocols (Ethernet, CAN, LIN, UDS, XCP)Experience using test tools (e.g., CANalyzer, CANoe, Parallel Diag, DSA)Hands-on testing and fault injection in vehicles and rigsSW experience in reading codeExperience with HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testingProficiency in Wireshark, Excel, Python, DLT ViewerBasic knowledge of UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services)Experience with Linux and/or WSLSwedish driving license (B)Fluent in English (both written and spoken) What we offer you?Every employee is equally valuable in the success of ALTEN!
