Technical Project Manager

Contract Technical Project Manager (WAN Services) (EU Remote) Technical Project Manager is required by a global FMCG firm to deliver WAN related projects forming part of a Cloud Transformation Programme. This role covers end-to-end delivery of enterprise WAN initiatives — SD-WAN, routing, internet, MPLS, cloud connectivity, carrier services, and site migrations — on time, on budget, and to agreed security, performance, and resilience standards, with a smooth handover to run teams. The role comprises:* Delivery — leading WAN product launches, SD-WAN transformations, carrier transitions, and site/data centre/cloud connectivity changes* Coordination — aligning product management, WAN engineering, network operations, cloud, security, architecture, field services, procurement, vendors, and carriers* Governance — running ITIL-aligned change and release management, steering forums, RAID reviews, and reporting through to knowledge transfer What you'll bring:* Proven project-management experience delivering enterprise WAN programmes, including SD-WAN, MPLS, internet, routing, cloud connectivity, and multi-site deployments* Practical knowledge of ITIL change, release, incident, problem, and service-level management in a global network environment* Working familiarity with WAN/SD-WAN architectures, routing protocols, application-aware routing, and cloud on-ramp concepts* Experience with network orchestration, monitoring/telemetry tools, CMDBs, and platforms such as ServiceNow and Jira* Strong carrier, vendor, and commercial management experience, including circuit ordering and SLA governance* PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred; agile delivery experience an advantage This suits someone who genuinely enjoys detailed delivery planning -> carrier and stakeholder coordination -> service handover and continuous improvement.
