Role: Test Automation & Quality EngineerLocation: Stockholm, Sweden · On-siteContract: 12-month contract, with potential for extensionRate: 725 SEK per hour About the RoleWe are looking for a Test Automation & Quality Engineer to join our partner's SDK team. The role is focused on the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and quality practices within a software development environment.The successful consultant will combine strong hands-on software development and test automation skills with the ability to independently drive testing initiatives, coordinate quality activities across a development team, and integrate automated testing into CI pipelines.The SDK is primarily developed in C++ and supports multiple platforms, including Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Linux, including embedded environments. However, previous experience in embedded or application development is not a primary requirement for this role. The key focus is on software development for test automation and quality engineering. What You Will DoDrive, maintain, and further develop the team's test automation frameworks and practices.Independently plan and execute test automation initiatives.Plan, coordinate, lead, and actively participate in quality assurance and testing activities.Work closely with cross-functional development teams to ensure effective test coverage and quality practices.Integrate and maintain automated testing within Continuous Integration (CI) environments.Follow up on automated test results and customer feedback, providing transparency around product quality.Identify quality risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Contribute to establishing and evolving agentic workflows and AI-driven approaches related to quality assurance and software development.Support the team in keeping the software platform and its development environment up to date, including quality, security, development tools, compilers, and dependencies Required Skills & ExperienceProven ability to independently drive and execute test automation initiatives.Experience leading and coordinating testing activities within cross-functional software development teams.Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into Continuous Integration (CI) environments.Strong background in software development and test automation frameworks.Ability to take ownership of test automation activities and drive them forward with limited supervision.
