Test Engineer - Automotive

Test Engineer (Automotive / Active Safety Systems) Location: Lindholmen, Gothenburg, Sweden Duration: 1 year, with extension possible up to 4 years Role overviewWe are looking for a Test Engineer with automotive experience to support the testing, verification and development of active safety systems and automated vehicles. The consultant will work with external customers and internal engineering teams, preparing and executing vehicle tests, analysing test results and documenting findings. Key responsibilitiesPrepare, plan and execute vehicle tests for active safety systems and automated driving technologies.Perform functional verification and validation of automotive safety systems.Use Vector CANalyzer and other automotive logging and diagnostic tools.Analyse vehicle test data and identify issues, deviations and potential improvements.Document test results and prepare technical reports.Support functional owners, developers and project teams in continuous product development.Develop and execute test cases for vehicle testing.Collaborate with customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.Apply relevant automotive safety standards and testing procedures.Contribute technical expertise and recommendations to improve testing processes. BSc, MSc or equivalent post-secondary education in a relevant technical field.At least 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably within the automotive industry.Hands-on experience with Vector CANalyzer and automotive logging and diagnostic tools.Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.Valid Swedish Category B driving licence and good driving experience.Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a project-oriented environment.Professional attitude and ability to advise customers and share knowledge. Preferred skillsProgramming experience with Python or MATLAB.SE-Tool application experience.Experience developing active safety systems.Experience writing test cases for vehicle testing.Knowledge of ISO 26262.Test-track driving permit, such as Hällered T2 or equivalent.Category C or CE driving licence.
